Why are boys so messy?

June 8, 2011 1:07pm

Not necessarily all boys, because I've come across a fair few clean ones, but the vast majority I have met are a little too much on the slobby side.

I was hanging out with a bunch of my guy mates recently, and we went back to the house a couple of them share for a barbecue and some drinks. Their kitchen and front room left a lot to be desired, old beer bottles and plates lying about the place, but I accidentally stumbled into one of their bedrooms when looking for the loo and it was disgusting!

All I could see was piles of clothes, a pizza box and mens underwear everywhere, literally everywhere! He's a single guy as well, always trying to get with girls on nights out, but there's no way he could ever bring anyone back here! I'd run a mile!

Shinfo!

June 6, 2011 9:31pm

I love trivial bits of information, so I was looking at lists of the most expensive things like cars and buildings, and so on. But I came across a great website that has loads of the 'most expensive's, and it's funnily called thelongestlistofthelongeststuffatthelongestdomainnameatlonglast.com!

An amazing domain that I'm pretty sure nobody will ever be able to remember enough to actually type in, but it's a really cool website - I've learnt lots of stuff!

Like the world's most expensive cupcake is $30,000, made by Mervis Diamond Importers - they're edible but decorated by a single 2-carat asscher cut diamond that’s surrounded by eight brilliant cut diamonds. You remove those before eating it!

I love knowing such silly bits of information, especially for ridiculously expensive stuff that no real people can afford - not even swanky stock brokers and Rowan Dartington investment bankers - even celebrities would surely be more sensible!

My New Mini-Greenhouse

June 5, 2011 7:55pm

My garden isn’t that big and I love gardening. So because I don’t have a lot of room to grow all my flowers and shrubs that I want to, I have invested in my very own mini greenhouse!

Like it? I love it!

A Rookie Mistake

May 12, 2011 10:44am

NEVER wear skirts in the wind! Everyone knows this surely?

Not me! I had the most embarrassing moment yesterday – I decided to wear my brand new skirt I had bought at the weekend and I thought it was going to be a nice day so I didn’t put tights on.

It was a tight pencil skirt – instead it was one of the summery flowing ones. You probably know where my story is going! But I was just walking up onto the platform to get the train and boom!

An unexpected wind picked up the back of my skirt and woosh it went straight up showing my knickers to everyone else waiting to get on their train! To top it off someone wolf whistled! So embarrassing!

How To Plant a Hanging Basket

April 8, 2011 11:15pm

When making a hanging baskets you first need to think about what flowers to use.

There are a lots of different types that can be used in a hanging baskets including small evergreen shrubs and cheerful annuals but the best thing to remember is to stick to a colour scheme.

What you first need to do is cover the inside with a liner and then prepare the compost for the basket. Put the basket into a pot to keep it steady.

Put a small layer of compose at the bottom and then select the plants to go in. First put the ones in that will be around the edge and then move inwards. Then carefully place more compost on top and water well.
